A Walk Through Sherman Heights Today

For our project, we first investigated the history of San Diego and its metropolitan transit. We then became interested in the trolley stop of 25th & Commercial, which led us to look more into the nearby neighborhood of Sherman Heights.

We hope to shed light on the way Sherman Heights was built by a white man named Matthew Sherman, and now is mostly a hispanic community. Our project shows what walking through Sherman Heights looks like in 2017.

In this work, we were inspired by the creator of Sherman Heights, and his central role in the history of Sherman Heights, along with the complex role of diversity in the area.

Our video seeks to show what it is like to walk through Sherman Heights with regard to its history, culture, and community.
